Many of you will have seen our new additions at the front of the school. Snickers (black), Cocoa (brown) and Halloumi (orange) are three hens who have joined us at Ashley Hill. All the children were introduced to them at the start of the week and the Year 2 classes have initially taken charge of keeping an eye on them and taking good care of their welfare. We'd be delighted to invite you to have a good look and a chat with them whenever you're nearby, but please be mindful of the size of the group and the proximity to our school car park.
So far, the children have loved getting to know them and we're all finding out lots of things! They have produced 2 (!!!) eggs so far and we hope to sell the eggs at £1 for 4 - an absolute bargain! If you'd like to buy any of these eggs, please let Sally in the office know and we'll create a list and let you know when they're ready to collect! Meanwhile, check out these photos to keep an eye on how they are getting on!
