Our Year 5s took part in an Evacuee Experience on Monday. As part of their World War 2 topic, the children visited the Aviation Museum before heading to Poulsom Park to play 1940s games! They then travelled by steam train to and from Castletown. Dressing up as evacuees made the whole event more authentic and allowed them to consider what it was like for children to be moved away from their home towns during the war.
