Today (Tuesday 6th March) our Year 1 children took part in a litter pick around the school. Whilst the children enjoyed getting out and about and taking part in such a worthwhile task, they were disappointed to see such litter on our grounds. The children have recently been inspired by Bill Dale's visits to school, and are keen to raise awareness amongst our local community of the need to look after our environment. They noted that the vast majority of the rubbish was made of plastic. The children hope to record their findings in a video, and raise it with local Commissioners at the next Junior Commissioners meeting.
